Worker Resigned and Has Not Been Paid in One Month
My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: FL
When a worker resigns and doesn't receive final payment I understand you go to the State employment standards/labor board.
What are the legal rights of the victim who has not received final payment? The amount owed is $345.
The work involves technical work in customer homes, the worker has the contact information of the customers written down. When filing the claim to the labor board can the worker contact the customers to act as witnesses on paper to show proof he was giving a service? If the worker contacts the customers can he state that he has not received payment from the owner of that company?

Were you a employee or an independent contractor? Referring to yourself as a "worker" doesn't clarify your status.

Then you should contact Florida's Department of Labor (which I believe in Florida is called the Department of Workforce Innovation) and see if they can help you. Once you file a complaint, the onus is on the employer to prove you didn't work and they don't owe you any money.
Florida doesn't have much of a DOL. If they can't assist you, then your recourse will be to file suit in small claims court.
