Does Abusiveness Justify Running Away from Home
My question involves guardianship in the State of: North Carolina
My dad found out that me and my boyfriend had sex, so he took away all my stuff and won't allow me to lay in bed until 8 at night. He also took away all my books, and black t-shirts. He also hit me and I told DSS, but they talked to him and told me that I came from a good home environment and won't do anything to get me away from there. Then someone told me what he is doing is emotionaly abusive. If that's true will I be able to move out without any trouble from anyone?

Nope. Not until you are 18.
