    Do You Need an Annulment for a Bigamous Marriage
    My question involves a marriage in the state of:Texas

    I was married to a man, unknowing that was married to another woman, she filed bigamy, hes serving time. do I need to get an annulment, or is my marriage annuled???

    When two or more marriages of a person to different spouses are alleged, the most recent marriage is presumed to be valid as against each marriage that precedes the most recent marriage until one who asserts the validity of a prior marriage proves the validity of the prior marriage.

    I don't see any statute or authority that will allow you to avoid filing for an annulment.
