Time Theft
I've been working at my job for almost 6 months... the first three months were basically hell. I've been suffering from depression since I was young and out of nowhere being scheduled at 5 and 6 in the morning at 18 years old is pretty hard. I would come in late and leave early, and about a month ago, one of the assistant managers brought me to the office to tell me that I had 10 absences (the company's limit is 9 every six months) but I wouldn't be terminated since he was supposed to discipline me before I got to that point and he didn't. Well, since then, I've been really worried about my attendance and being terminated for that reason. I'm starting to make changes in my life that require me to have this job and I wanted to show my managers that I wanted this job. Although I have been coming in on time and doing everything and more my managers asked of me, it didn't seem like it was enough. At my company, we can make time adjustments (changing times that you previously clocked in and such) and I would make it so I clocked in like 10 minutes early or something like that. Today, the security at work pulled me into the office with a manager and was asking for an explanation. Realizing that he had evidence, I told the truth. He told me that this was very serious because I had basically added on three hours of pay onto my next coming paycheck. It honestly was not my intention to make more money, although that would be nice but I am not like that. I just wanted to make my attendance look better than it was because I felt severely pressured. They understood and my manager was telling me that they know that it's not my personality to do anything like that, and I'm just hoping that I don't get terminated. I even offered to give them back the three hours pay :wallbang: Given my situation, will this terminate me?

Re: Time Theft
This is not a criminal matter. They have all the reasons to terminate you if they see fit. If they decide to keep you on, you will be watched constantly.

Re: Time Theft
Since the crystal ball is out being recalibrated, I cannot say if they WILL terminate you. I can tell you that they CAN terminate you and that IF they terminate you, it will be a legal termination.
