What is the Consequence of a MIP
My question involves criminal law for the state of: SD
My friend got pulled over after swerving when looking at his cell phone. To my knowledge I thought he only had one or two drinks. He then was tested and questioned by the police. Then I was sitting in the backseat and was asked to have a chat with one of the officers. He told asked me to do a BAC and I was tested at 0.075. I received a court date and was charged with minor in possession. What can i expect at court? How much will I be charged? Is there anyway I can get it dismissed if my record is clean before I was 18 and up to this point? Please let me know!

You can consult a local lawyer about the availability of diversion or deferrals in the county in which you're charged, and whether you qualify. The lawyer should also be able to advise you of the fines and typical disposition of the charge in the court in which you're charged.
