Killing Somebody With a Boobie Trap

Hi guys If I set a Boobie trap that kills a burgler i my absence, would I face a murder charge

You betcha! And you can very well get convicted of attempted murder even if you don't kill anybody.

Report it to the police and invest in dead-bolts and window bars. Even a non-lethal boobie trap will get you introduced around the courtyard at San Quentin. A lethal one and you will spend the rest of your life there.

Even if. You don't get to proactively get to kill people, this isn't anywhere close to "stand your ground." The law has a dim view of mantraps. They're not terribly selective.

Seems a trifle far-fetched to me.

You said boobie trap, it sounded like a woman on the make. If you feel someone is trying to kill or poison you report it to the police.
