My Girlfriend is Pregnant and I Need Emancipation Without Consent
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Colorado
I'm turning 17 in a few months and my girlfriend moved to Kansas and just found out she is pregnant. I want to be there to support her and the baby but my family would never agree to letting me move out. Is there any way I can get emancipated without needing their consent? I'm currently a junior in high school and and already know where I would transfer to finish school and I would get a job as soon as possible. My girlfriend's family has already agreed to letting me live with them so that's covered. I have school, money, and a house figured out so all I need is a way to get emancipated without my mom's consent so my kid won't have to grow up without a father.

Please Cody, read some of the threads about emancipation.
The court is not going to emancipate you in order for you to go and live with your pregnant girlfriend. You've basically told the world that you need more, not less, adult supervision and that aside, you are obviously not capable of fully supporting yourself financially (which is a REQUIREMENT).
Unless your parents agree, you're staying put.
Re: My Girlfriend is Pregnant and I Need Emancipation Without Consent
Not only is there no way you can be emancipated without consent, in your state you would have to be ALREADY living on your own (which means you would need consent) before you could be emancipated even if you did qualify, which you do not.

You, your girlfriend AND her parents have already proved they are not responsible. You have no chance at emancipation. Get off your butt, get a job, and support your child until you graduate and turn 18.
