How to Quickly Become Emancipated from Myparents
My question involves guardianship in the State of: Texas.
I recently moved out ofmy mother's house. She is refusing to sign permission slips for things that I need. I am band student and she is taking away trips. I need help with the process of becoming emancipated quickly. I also need tips withthe financial portionof it all.

There is no fast process for emancipation. Read the stickies and find out what emancipation is FOR. Courts don't grant emancipation over band permission slips.

Over not signing a permission slip??!! No judge will even consider this!
Here are the minimum legal requirements:
The law requires that a child requesting Removal of Disabilities of a Minor by the court show that: (1) he/she is a resident Texas, that (2) the minor is either 17 years old, or is 16 and is living separate from the parents, and, (3) the minor is self-supporting and managing his/her own affairs.
From the sound of it, you do not meet this definition. Plus, you would have to show why this is in your best interests and why your parents deserve to lose custody.
And, as mentioned, it is NOT "fast." You can expect the process to drag on for months - particularly if your parents do not approve of your request.
How old are you right now?
Re: How to Quickly Become Emancipated from Myparents
I'll give you a tip to the financial portion.
Unless you are capable of paying EVERY RED CENT of your own support; that means that YOU, with no help or support from anyone, are capable of paying 100% of the market rate for rent, utiliites, clothing, food, medical care, transportation, insurance, school fees and supplies, staples, and all the other incidentals of life, then you don't qualify for emancipation.
There is not a chance on earth that a judge will emancipate you because your mother won't sign band slips. Assuming that you even make it into a courtroom, you'll be extremely lucky if you get out of it without the judge bawling you out big time for wasting his time.
And one final thing - EVEN IF you qualified financially and EVEN IF you had a valid reason to be emancipated, WHICH YOU DO NOT, it would not be fast.
