    Criminal Mischief, Third Degree
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Alaska
I was at a local bar when one of the bouncers thought I was "high" so I was told to leave. I was very drunk and ended up being stupid and punching a glass. I was arrested for criminal mischief in the third degree. I have been in trouble for a dui a couple years back but that's the only thing on my record. I'm wondering what's the likelihood of pleading down to a misdemeanor? If I get convicted of a felony then I will lose my job.

Wow, they don't F around in Alaska. I was all set to say that Crim Misch 3rd WAS a misdemeanor. But, I just looked it up - over $500 is a felony. It's $750 here in WA before it's a felony. Anyway, considering the consequences of a felony conviction, you should get an attorney.

You say your DUI was a "couple" of years ago...does that mean more than 2 full years? If you still have any probation or conditions of a deferred prosecution hanging over you, you are probably not going to get much of a deal. However, if your record is really clean (meaning the DUI is all over and there is really nothing else), you probably have a decent chance of pleading this down. But, an attorney who can review your history and is knowledgeable about your local prosecutor's office can advise you better.

    ... over $500 is a felony.

Either that's the most expensive bar glass I've ever heard of, or there's more to the story.

Maybe OP lives in one of those cities where police response required the police fly in or out. Some remote areas have very expensive law enforcement overhead.
