Erasing or Sealing a Class B Misdemeanor with a Guilty Plea
My question involves criminal records for the state of: TEXAS
In 2007 I was arrested and convicted of Class B Misdemeanor theft. I returned merchandise that was not really returned and placed the money on a gift card for a co worker. It was stupid and every day I live with the fact that I truly made a HUGE mistake. I plead guilty and was not offered any sort of probation program just paid the fine and that was it. I have been hired by companies but the jobs are all dead end. I'm not making excuses for what I did I just want a chance to prove myself and not be looked at as a thief. It has been five years and I'm still paying for this. I just want to go to work and make an honest living for my family. Is there anything I can do to clear this matter up?
Regards,

The answer is no but there 2 things worthy of discussion.
Trust will come with time so as time goes by the trust issue will get better.
If you are in a profession where theft is an issue, it might be a bad profession to be in.Where I live people just released from prisons are getting good jobs at oil refineries and in the oil field.
