Is a Garage Stall Rental Lease for My Cars Governed by Landlord-Tenant Law
My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: IL
I rent a garage for my two cars, but I don't live in the apartment that on the property. The property manager tried to lock the garage, without notice, because I was two months late on rent. Doesn't the property manager have to follow proper eviction procedures? Is the garage considered rental of real property or is it considered storage?

You are renting storage correct? There is nothing in the agreement giving you rights to the apartment and he is free to rent it correct?

Renting space for a vehicle does not constitute a residential landlord-tenant relationship. It's like renting a storage locker.
Beyond that, I can't read your lease from where I'm sitting, so consider having it reviewed by a lawyer to see if and how it might affect your situation.

Can you post the portion of your lease so we can see what it says about late rent?
