Obtaining Discovery in a Petition for Dependency Case
My question involves guardianship in the State of: Florida
I live in Pinellas County Florida. I have a Child Protective investigation in which they are now Petitioning for Dependency. The allegations are untrue and were made up by my father, who I had made go to Rehab in order to contiue living in my home. While in Rehab, either to pass the blame or because he was mad or both, he made up a bunch of rediculous lies about my and my husband ability to care for our children. He was told that anything he said was confidential, so he told his Psychologist that he had all of these "concerns" about the children. He is fully willing to testify that none of these "concerns" are true or legitimate. My question is, how do we obtain discovery. We have been to an arraignment were they appointed Regional lawyer's/public defenders. I know that they are extremely pressed for time. So they probably will not be able to put in the effort to this case that it deserves. We want discovery so we can decide whether we need to pay a "real" lawyer. So how do we do that?
Thanks,

How do you obtain discovery of what, for what purpose?
If you want your father to retract his allegations, it appears he's willing to do that.
