Juvenile Record Felony I Thought Was Supposed to Be Expunged
My question involves criminal records for the state of: Minnesota
I am currently trying to get the transcripts from my court case but when I was 16 I plead guilty to a destruction of property charge even though I didnt do it. My court appointed attorney tried to get me jail time because I had 4 other people saying that I did it even though they are the ones that did. The officers didnt talk to any of us until 2 weeks later so they were able to get a story made up. I took a plea of guilty in turn for $3500 in restitution and 50 hours of community service. I was sure that juvenile records were sealed but they are not in that county. Any advice in going about getting it expunged or anything else since it is now affecting me getting apartments and jobs but did not affect me getting into the military

Did you pay the $3500? Likely they won't even look at the situation if you have not. Having the debt on your credit history will red flag the situation.

Should we infer, then, that you were prosecuted as an adult?
