Signing Off Property
My fiance and I found a home we loved and it was purchased. Although it was OUR home, the financing was in his name only because of some credit issues I had at the time. However, he did a quit claim with survivorship rights to me and I am on the deed. I had only moved partially in as I had to stay at my own home until I finished all the loose ends. I have just sold my home and was to move completely in with my fiance this weekend. However, he suddenly was not home and I just learned he has been staying with another woman that he met a couple of weeks ago. He called me this evening and said I have to do the deed back to him so my name comes off. Do I have any rights at all in this? Can he force me to sign off the house?
We live in Ohio.

Re: Signing Off Property
The quitclaim conveys to you only a survivorship interest?
You have paid money toward the property?

Re: Signing Off Property
No, it is a quit claim that also put me on the deed but had the survivorship in the body of the deed so there would be no problems if anything were to happen to him.
Also, another issue is that all of a sudden he brought his deceased wife's ashes into the house and then proceeded to make a shrine of sorts in the family room. He isn't even staying at home anymore, he is staying with his new girlfriend. I don't want the ashes there, but I guess I am stuck with them.I pay the utilities an dfood, cleaning supplies, bath supplies, etc for my share, although he said it wasn't necesasry.
