Of the MANY THOUSANDS of juveniles who come here with the same questions, over and over, and are too lazy to read a few posts that would answer ALL their questions...how is it that after arguing with us, ignoring the statutes in front of their faces, and supposedly only getting up off their duffs to actually call a lawyer (yeah, right) once we gave them the "wrong" answer....how is it that not ONE has EVER returned to shove it back in our faces that they were, in fact, emancipated after we told them they didn't have a chance in hell? That would make sense because well, teens are teens, and the ONE whose situation truely DID warrant emancipation, got it, and returned to let us know about it.

Emancipation isn't a process to free yourself from parental tyranny. It's a recognition that you are already independent and should be granted relief for entering into contracts, etc... that is denied those under 18.
