Unruly 15 Year Old

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Ohio. This child is my neice. She constantly backtalks her father, hits him and does as she pleases. She is sleeping with every guy she can find. The child is disespectful to everyone and lies constantly. I am at my wits end with her and I do not know how to help the father or her.

What are her parents doing about the behavior?

Are they doing absolutely everything to parent this child correctly? (As in...removing ALL privileges, complete and utter grounding, etc.,?)

It sounds like a long term parenting problem. In OH, there is always the potential to have the child declared unruly and assigned a probation officer.

and therapy for her and support group or therapy for them?

Privileges are being taken but she does not do as she is told. The mother of this child left and the father is raising the child. She will cuss you scream yell and when I try to talk to her and I leave my brothers house she physically gets abusive.

How many times have the police been called?

Is she in therapy?

What is Dad's goal here? (Not yours - Dad's)

Tried therapy, counseling. She lies her way out of everything. I catch her doing something and show her the proof and she swears it is a lie. She has been caught with guys.

Is it possible she's bucking under your authority because you don't actually have any?

I'm sorry, but this strongly sounds as if a parent somewhere along the line is not stepping up to the role.

I was in a similar situation with my daughter a few years ago and while it is going to take concerted effort on you and your husband's part to get her started in this plan, it will settle down quickly. The plan is called 2D and it involves returning the child to wearing diapers for the duration.

And in some areas would be considered child abuse.
