Can a Police Officer Send You Dirty Pictures in a Sting Operation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas.

I met a girl online and she is asking sex for money. She looks pretty hot so i said ok. I tried to get her to send me a picture showing her naked or showing her breasts. Since she didn't I am wondering if she is a cop? Why would someone who is willing to have sex for money with a stranger not do this? If i do get a picture showing her naked or with her breast exposed does this mean she isnt a cop? Or can that be used to entrap someone?

Also am i guilty since the moment I agreed to pay for sex over an email? Or does this have to take place in person? What do i have to do to be charged with soliciting prostitution?

If you don't want to risk arrest for soliciting for prostitition, then don't engage in acts or conversation that involves the exchange of money for sex. It really IS that simple.

There's no magic question you can ask a police officer that will get you out of a bust - even if it's "Will you send me a picture of your bust".

Know this isnt my homework. I just want to make sure she isnt a cop before i meet her. Everyone does something that isnt always right. I'm taking a risk. I just want to make sure that the decision i make doesnt land me in jail by knowing if i am being lured in.

The police can send you nude pictures of a legal adult. They are easy to obtain. If you want to pay for sex that bad, make a trip to Boy's Town.
