Change Name on Birth Certificate in Mississippi

My question involves name change laws in the State of: Mississippi

I had my name legally changed in Texas but I was born in Mississippi. I mailed the document showing the name to the Mississippi Vital Records they said they would do a marginal notation because the name change was not done in Mississippi and I would have to have a judge in Mississippi sign off to change the name on my BC. My question is what steps do take to get this done.

I expect that the reference is to the domestication of the foreign (out-of-state) court order through a Mississippi court.

Said clerk shall treat the foreign judgment in the same manner as a judgment of the circuit court of any county in this state. A judgment so filed has the same effect and is subject to the same procedures, defenses and proceedings for reopening, vacating or staying as a judgment of a circuit court of any county in this state and may be enforced or satisfied in like manner, subject to the provisions of Section 15-1-45. Any foreign judgment for the purpose described in Section 85-3-52 shall not be a lien on any property in this state, real, personal or mixed, that is owned by a resident of this state, and shall not be enforced or satisfied against any such property.

Thank you for your response but I don't fully understand your answer I was going to go to Mississippi next week and see if I could get everything I need before I have to go back to school. Do I go to the court house and talk to the county clerk?
