Caught With Marijuana in the Car
My question involves criminal law for the state of: florida

Hi, i was pulled over and had "not more than 20 grams" of marijuana on me, west palm beach, florida.
I am an adult male. the officer handcuffed me and sat me in his car while he and another officer located marijuana in my car.
He was very upfront and polite - he took the marijuana, and upon realizing i have no prior offenses he let me go with a notice to appear at the palm beach county jail in just under one month. I see possession of less than 20 grams is punishable by up to one year incarceration, my question is this:

To anyone's knowledge, can I expect to do any kind of jail time?

    thank you in advance!

Prob not the best person to ask is a lawyer ask about a diversion program to avoid a criminal conviction.

I don't know what that sentence means.

OP, which statute number is on your notice?

I don't think you will do anytime in jail, thou a lawyer is the best person to ask . Also ask your lawyer if entering a diversion program is an option, which would avoid a criminal conviction.
