Spousal Support Award is Too High
My question involves a marriage in the state of: ohio

ive been married for 15 years, me and my wife make about the same income. she was fired from her job by her own hand. she now asked for temp. spousal support. she was denied unenployment and is not looking for a job and just wants to live off me. the judge awarded her $714.00 a month which will take afect this month out of my pay check. she lives with her mother, has half or less bills as me and shes very educated. i have the house and every cost that comes with it plus other bills. at this time my credit is verry good and im never late paying. i have nothing left over at the end of the month. a request was filed to lower / change the support was tried and it was shot down. i will go broke if i have to pay this ammount possibly some bills wont be paied which will put me further in debt. i can not find anyone to explain how that ammount was decided or that the court would make me go further in debt. there has to be something else i can do. any help would be great.

How long did the judge give her to find a job? When did you split up? File for divorce?

To give us a rough guide, can you tell us your yearly salary, roughly?

Also, did you request that your (ex?) wife be imputed a wage?

How far along the divorce process are you?
