    Caught Issuing Fraudulent Discounts
A couple of days ago I was brought in by my HR and this guy did an internal audit and found out that I was doing some discounts of 25%. So I made an agreement with them and told them that I would pay back the company it was 8700 dollars what is going to happen?

You should have stipulated no charges would be filed, if you reimburse them.

Paying them back will not save your job ... why you willing to pay them back? You had the authority to give discounts , it would appear.

If you are over the age of 18, this could stick with you forever if you are prosecuted. Did they indicate they would be pressing charges or are they stopping with you paying them back and terminating your employment?

Is it bad that I did not show up to the meeting?

What do you think???? Yes, it was bad you did not show up at the meeting. I would expect to be that you no longer have a job, and you will not be collecting Unemployment, and you will be prosecuted.

Two questions: Were you authorized to give discounts? Or did you give discounts you were not supposed to be giving?
What was the amount taken - $87.00 or $8700.00? If the higher amount, I would be lawyering up NOW.

Yes. It is bad that you did not show up for the meeting. If you ever had a hope in heck of keeping your job, that hope faded into oblivion when you did not show up. Nor do I anticipate that you will qualify for unemployment.

And no, you will not "get a new record" when you turn 21.

I was authorized to give discounts and it was a total of 8700.00 and I had already set up a payment plan and I had already paid some of the money back. Also I didn't go to the meeting because I wasnt sure what time I was suppose to go and I didn't have a contact number of the person I was meeting so it was either at 1pm or 3pm so I went to the 3 pm appt. n no one was there

The right thing to do was show up at 1 PM and see if the meeting was taking place, and if it were at 3 PM instead, you could of hung around a few hours or gone and grabbed lunch. But then again, it's your reputation, not ours.
