What Should I Say in an Appeal Letter to the California EDD
My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Calfornia
I had been receiving unemployment benefits until I was late sending in my bi-weekly claim form, missed my phone interview, and got denied benefits. I am now in the process of writing my appeal letter to the EDD. I was late sending my bi-weekly claim form because the person who gets the mail for my household lost the letter in their car, unbeknownst to me, until it was too late. Is this a valid excuse? What should I say in my appeal letter?

You should provide facts relevant to your appeal. If all you have to offer is a "mea culpa", you'll have to go with that and see how it goes.

Helloitabot, I'm having the same issue and will be filing for an appeal. What did you tell EDD and what was the outcome?
