If You Say Minors Should Not Chat With You Can You Still Be Charged
I am over thirty and I online sex chat. I state on my page that I will not talk to anyone who is under 18. But I often bump into girls who are 17 and say that the age of consent where they are is 17. Is it legal for me to talk with these girls? If they tell me later that they are 17, am I at risk? I sometimes feel like they are trying to entice me into sex chat, but I'm neverous that it is illegal. Can I talk sexually with them?

    Re: Age Of Consent Laws
Let's face it, you have no idea whether they are telling the truth about their age, their state, or what the age of consent is where they are. You could be talking with a 13 year old female on her big sister's account, or a 53 year old male cop involved in a sting operation. Any time you get involved in sex talk over the internet with someone you do not know, you are putting yourself at risk. There are no guarantees of protection. Caveat emptor, as it were.

If a liquor store has a sign that says that they don't serve minors, and the store employee serves a minor, can the liquor store be held liable? You bet your ass they would.

If they tell you they are under age, do not continue talking to them.
