    Child Support Modification in Louisiana
My question involves child support in the State of: Louisiana

Once a judgment is entered as to the amount of child support a NCP owes- how long does the primary custodial parent have to wait before asking the court for modification of child support to increase the support?

    When was the order made?

    What has changed since then?

Order will be filed in a few days. We have agreed through our attorney's on support based on LA guidelines and I am about to sign a judgment and my attorney will file the order.

Nothing has changed regarding income, I was just curious if my salary does increase over the years- how long does the Mom have to wait to file for more support or is there no set time?

If there is a change in circumstance - your salary increases/decreases for example - either of you can file for a modification at any time.

Other than that, a general guide is every 3 years for cost of living adjustments etc.,
