Adult and Minor Met Online and Want to Date
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Washington

A couple of weeks ago i was talking to this guy by text and we eventualy admitted we have feelings for each other. The catch? He is 18 and im 13. I told him i just want to be friends but now neither one of us can talk to each other without it being akward. I didnt really want to say that we should stay friends. Should we ignore the law and go for it? we both know what would happen if we got foud out.

He can look forward to spending a lot of time in prison - not jail, but big boy prison - if he does so much as lay a finger on you.

18 year olds don't sniff around 13 year old children unless they've got something sinister planned. They. Just. Don't.

You feel weird and awkward which is normal for your age. He likely feels excited and horny, because he thinks he will soon be having sex/using a 13 yr old. This is the reason adults made laws to protect you from this predator. Don't let him touch you. Find a nice boy your age to date and don't get pregnant. It will screw up your life, in spite of how exciting it may sound. You still have 5 years until you reach adulthood. Don't rush it. Enjoy being a teen, while you can.
