Getting Support from an Incarcerated Parent
My question involves child support in the State of: Florida. I have two minor children and their father and I are not together. He is currently in our local county jail awaiting a prison sentence. Can i receive child support and how would I do so if I can? Thank you

    Re: Help
You can get an order for support. Contact the clerk of court in your county for the petition forms you'll need to start the case. However, even if you get an order, if he's in prison and not working or earning money, then he's not going to be paying anything (however arrears MIGHT still accrue and be owed once he's out).
