Emancipation in New Jersey at 16
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: New Jersey

I have been looking into emancipation for several years now, but I'd realized I would have to be sixteen. My living arrangement now is unbearable. Both parents are unfaithful, and I'm brought into the mix of all of it. My mom constantly tells me about her 'best friend', who she is intimate with. When I asked her what she was doing, I was told it was none of my business, and had my phone, and computer taken away, as long as being yelled at for well over an hour. I know the punishment is not grounds for emancipation, but I feel as if I'm being mentally abused. I have asked to move in with a grandparent, which my mom would not agree to. I am living in my own hell, however I do maintain good grades and good relationships with others.
I'm aware I would have to have a job, which I have been working on but not able to get one yet. (I wouldn't try for emancipation without one). I know that I also need a place to stay and transportation. However, looking at my reasons for wanting to be emancipated, how good are my odds? Like I stated, I would wait until I had the necessities (job, living, transportation). I just want to know if it's worth trying. If not, what are other options? Living in my current house until I'm 18 isn't an option for me, and I'm trying to be more mature than to run away.

Re: Emancipation in New Jersey at 16. (Actual Reasons)
    Your odds are nil.

NJ doesn't have a general emancipation statute, for one thing. Secondly, being unhappy at home is not a reason to be emancipated.

But moreover, even if it did, you would have to prove that you're already living outside of the home and capable of fully supporting yourself financially. What kind of job are you going to get - at 16 - which would enable you to pay full market rent, utilities, food, clothing, transportation, health insurance, car insurance, sundries....see where I'm going with this?

Emancipation is not for kids who are unhappy at home. It's intended to help minors who, through no fault of their own (parents died in a car crash, for example) find themselves in a position where they need the legal ability to sign a lease, get utilities switched to their names etc.,

    Disagreeable

I hate my mom n dad or my mom n dad hate me is not a reason. You being punished is called parenting. You have no grounds and are not even close to being so. When you become a movie star and have 6 figures coming in. you can consider it. Try going under search enter emancipation. You will find every other unhappy kid in the US already asked.
