Boss Buying Drugs
My question involves business law in the state of: Alabama
After receiving my health benefits form work, my boss somehow found out what medicine I'm prescribed....it's a controlled substance and my boss pressures me to give him/her some every other week.
What am I suppose to do? They're my boss!!
What's the best way to deal with this?
If I'm fired, due to not supplying my boss with MY medication, then is there any way I can do to fight the business in any way?
I have a co-worker who was present when my boss requested a few tablets of MY medication.
THIS IS FREAKING STRESSFUL!

Re: Boss Buying Drugs
DO not give your boss or anyone else your prescription meds. For your sake I hope you did not succumb to the pressure or sell the boss any. What your boss is asking you to do is illegal. If you are fired for not going along with the request you would have grounds for a lawsuit. Just say no.

Re: Boss Buying Drugs
And it seems like I would get in trouble for giving it to him, even though I knew I shouldn't but I had just started working there and I felt the heat. I said no and he kept pressuring me.
I just worry because it'll all be hear say if I took him to court. Like I said previously, I have one co-worker who can witness to it but they still have a job there then I don't think they would testify.
My boss is barely scrapping money wise but the business is being financed from someone with a goog deal of power.
I also don't have much money. If I have to look into geting the help of a local lawyer what kind should I look for?

Re: Boss Buying Drugs
Tell your boss that it is illegal for you to sell or even give a prescription medication to another person.
If the boss keeps pressuring you....you may want to drop a tip to the State Police....
You can consult with a local lawyer...just ask for a consultation, so you can find out your rights. As you are not fired for refusing to sell, you don't have grounds for any legal case at this time.

Re: Boss Buying Drugs
DO NOT supply anyone with your prescription medication. If you are terminated for refusing to engage in an illegal act, you can sue the company for wrongful termination.
Tell your boss that you can not and will not supply any medication to him.

Re: Boss Buying Drugs
If you are selling a controlled substance you your poss, as your title suggests, you are committing a serious crime.
