Roommate Moved Out, Won't Sign Roommate Release Form
My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Florida

I used to live win my girlfriend in an apartment. We broke up, she moved out. Our lease is done in December but the apartment complex won't let me renew or sign a form to allow me to move out. Since she's on the lease they say she needs to sign a roommate release form taking her off the lease first. They have called her. I have called and sent emails, but she refuses to answer or respond. I don't know what to do. The apartment complex refuses to renew just me even though I make more than enough money until she signs the paperwork.

What about terminating your present tenancy and then starting an entirely new lease? They won't let you do that?

Your problem here isn't legal, so much as it is that your landlord is being difficult. There's no law that says your landlord has to renew your lease at the end of its term.
