My question involves a child custody case from the State of: alabama
the childs father and i are not together, and have never lived with one another. he provides her with only 28% of her monthly income as my now husband and i provide the remaining. he is consently moving every 3 months to another home, or mooching off a friends couch-suprisingly he has held his current job for atleast two months now{normally he works 3 months and claims he gets fired*aka he quiets*} he can not keep his cell phone on, and is the picture of irresponsible...i have denied signing him a tax form of 8338_which means that i allow him to claim our child on his taxes and get the credit for everything my husband and i have paid for- he claims that he is going to call his lawyer,and i am affraid that come his day{due to a verbal agreement b/t us hes allowed to get her for afew hours} he will not bring her home again... my husband checked in the local police department and sicne we do not have papers drawn up that if he takes her i can only then request for emergency custody and then id get her until the set court date. so my concern is this would a judge give him joint custody to a child that has never lived with him, he barely provides support to, he cant even find a steady home for himself or ways to contact him??
i am so affraid of loosing my baby girl. i have lived in my home for 15 yrs, i always have my phone where someone can get me {never had my number turned off} and ive been working the same job for almost a year now
