Custodial Parent Move to Utah from Massachusetts
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Massachusetts

I have Sole physical custody of my child, while ex has joint legal and set visitation schedule. My question is, I am moving to Utah from Massachusetts, want to bring my child, what do I have to do? Will Court allow me to move with child, or can other parent fight for child to stay in same state?

    Thank you.

Check your court order. You will likely have to petition the court for permission to move the child. The other parent can object and since that parent is exercising their visitation, you may be faced with the choice to (1) move and become the NCP with a long distance visitation plan (2) stay in Massachusetts with your child

Of course, if the other parent does not want primary custody or agrees to your move, the court will likely sign off on that.

Since OP is actively trying to reduce Dad's parenting time, OP should be very, very careful how to proceed.

I don't believe OP truly grasps what she's doing. Further, I'm not convinced that OP understands her own role in her child's anxiety. OP should also be making NO plans until the matter is decided formally. In other words, OP, don't count your chickens.
