Breaking A Lease In Ohio

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Ohio

I am trying desperately to get out of a lease. I talked to my rooommates about subleasing and found the perfect girl to move in. One of my roommates did a 180 and says she refuses to sign to let me sublease and is going to make me pay. I've been trying to research ways out and I think since all my roommates underage drink and possess fake I.D.s that I should have some kind of legal argument to break the lease since they're breaking the law. Is this at all accurate?

No, it is not. If they were, say, running a meth lab in the bathroom or running a prostitution ring, you might have a leg to stand on, but the fact that your roommates drink and have fake IDs has no bearing on the terms of your lease. You're essentially asking if you can break your lease because your roommate gets speeding tickets.

Neither your roommates nor your landlord has any obligation to allow you to sublease. Neither do they have any obligation to let you out of your lease contract. The obligation lies with you to fulfill the terms of your lease agreement.
