Getting a Visa After Dismissed Criminal Charges
    Sir,
A friend of mine indian native but now US citizen (unmarried) is confused with her marriage to indian man who is in india but previously divorced. His first wife had filed couple of false criminal cases on him in india like domestic violence and abuse, beating ,and harrassing etc. This man was arrested and bailed he fought this court cases for few years and found innocent The court has given judgement in his favour. Now the question arises whether this man is eligible to get us visa ?since he has no criminal matters pending in his home country, do he need any extra paper from indian government to satisfy us embassy?

We have no way of knowing what type of visa he wants to get, or whether he would qualify for the visa.

If he is asked about his criminal history, he will need to answer honestly. He may be asked to provide official documentation establishing that all charges against him were dismissed.
