Extension Transfer Process

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: CA.


I was being paid off an invalid claim for most of the year through no fault of my own. Initially I was sent a notice of potential overpayment but it turns out the error was on edd's side. Now what is supposed to be happening is that edd is transferring payment extensions from the invalid claim to a valid one. It has been almost 8 weeks since I have received any payment. Everytime I call edd they say that the transfers are pending and to give it 10 days. I have been told that 3 different times. My question is does anyone have any experience with these transfers and how long does the process usually take? Thank you

There's no satisfactory answer, nor is there a legal answer, to that question. Sometimes when dealing with bureaucracies you just have to "wait it out".
