What is My Outlook on Getting a Reduced Citation from Reckless Driving (X-Ing Double)
My question involves traffic court in the State of: Virginia (Fairfax)
What is my outlook on getting a reduced citation from Reckless Driving (X-ing double-yellow line) to a non-misdemeanor offense?
I have +2 driving points.
The police cruiser had video-taped me.
I was driving in George Mason University where the speed limit is 25 mph. There was a sedan directly in front of me and a golf cart in front of that sedan which was travelling probably 10 mph. I crossed double-yellow and went ahead of both cars.
I was charged with Reckless Driving, expired license (second offense), and expired insurance.
What is the likelihood that the Reckless driving charge will be reduced to a non-misdemeanor offense with a lawyer?

Is that a real +2 or did you already do VADIP in the past three years?
You do know that driving while expired is also a misdemeanor (a class 1 for the second offense).
You would be lucky to avoid jail time. You need a lawyer.
