Misdemeanor Theft
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Arkansas
Back in 2007, I was charged with Theft by Deception under 500, and i believe it was a class c misdemeanor. I ended up having to pay restitution, doing community service, and it got expunged off my record.
Well, I am currently being questioned for a few returns i did that were not really returns. I never brought merchandise back, just acted like i did and took the cash (employee). The total is still under 500, so my question is, what all can be done? can this second charge also be expunged or will i most likely get jail time? I am 31 weeks pregnant also.

Re: Misdemeanor Theft
You're being questioned by whom? The police? And they know about a series of crimes you committed? Time to lawyer up.
I can't promise you what the charges will be or what plea bargain or sentence might follow. At this point I can't even tell you if you'll be charged.

Re: Misdemeanor Theft
Expunction happens after the charges are dismissed (or possibly after you're done serving your sentence).
The chances for that are slim. Jail is a definite possibility. You need a lawyer if charged or even if they want to you question you.
Chances are that baby is going to be born before this is resolved, and you better get custodial care lined up in the even that you are jailed.
