Indiana Judgement Collection
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Indiana
I have a judgement against my Ex and she has not been making payments as agreed. I would like to look into garnishment and was ondering if this can be done without having to go to my atty.
She has a very steady job and brings in >85k so i'm not worried about that part. I just don't know if this can be a DIY process.
Can anyone offer info on the process?
Thanks
Re: Indiana Judgement Collection
If you can figure out how to do it, then you can do it yourself. If not, you'll need help from a legal professional.
It's usually a pretty simple, form-driven matter. Check with the court to see if there are any standard form petitions and orders for wage garnishment and, if not, check the county law library or a law school library for a guide to collections law in your state, as I would expect a practitioner's guide to contain sample forms and orders.
