The answer is the same: you need to be speaking with an attorney who can look over the official reports of the case.

My question involves police conduct in the State of:
sc
my question is based in police harassment... was arrested last year did my time and probation and ever since i was younger there is one particular policeman in our small county that harasses me... a few nights ago he pulls me over for no reason runs my name and i hear the dispatch say all clear, then he arrests me when i had no warrant. he tried to explain to me i did have a warrant. after sitting in jail over 24 hrs they serve me with the same warrant i have already been to court for and soon after release me. I had no warrant he only took me to jail because he wanted too, and tried to bribe me and tell me he would let me go if i gave him information on a certain person. i know there is laws about unlawful detainment, but not sure if they stick.! i want to know if and what can be done in a situation like this??
It really would be nice if everybody was a good person and cigarettes grew on trees and alcohol came trickling down the rocks but it ain't like that. The police will always have more power the you period. The reality is the cop has a problem with you. I suspect that you aren't squeaky clean either. So you need to make a choice stay and stand on principle and try to fight someone that has way more power then you or move somewhere he isn't. The intelligent person knows when it's prudent to withdraw. You can make the choice to stand on principle and live a life of less then happy circumstances. Or you can relocate and maybe make a better life for yourself. It's your choice.
