    Speed Ticket in Other State
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Texas

Hi. It was my sister who received the speeding ticket.
The ticket says that she drove 94 for the road with speed limit 70.
(She had to speed up because of my diarrhea since there was no rest area.
We explained this, but the police officer did not pay attention at all)

But she is going back to California.

So I was wondering if there is anyway to contest the ticket in California since she cannot flight all the way back to Texas to fight the ticket.

Also, she already got the ticket for 22350 on last week in California.

So I was wondering how many points will add up, plus if she qualifies for traffic school and if the points will be removed, even with two tickets(And about insurance fee)

Thank you for answering my inquiry and have a nice day.

No, there is not. If she wants to fight it, she can either go back to Texas or hire an attorney to represent her.

I would ask what her excuse was for that ticket, but I have a feeling I might not want to hear the answer...

If convicted or pleads guilty in Texas, and assuming that Texas will report her violation to California, her driving record will be assessed one violation point for that one.

As for the 22350 in Ca, if she is convicted or pleads guilty, her driving record will also be assessed one violation point.

She will have to check with Texas for the Texas citation. As for California, you have not provided enough information to determine that. She will be informed if that option is available to her via a courtesy notice the court is likely to send her.

She will ahve to check with her insurance about effects on her premium.
