Wife is Pregnant, Husband Wants a Divorce
My question involves a marriage in the state of: AZ
My husband and I just moved to AZ a couple of weeks ago. We've been married only 8 months. 4 months ago we found out I was pregnant. We've been having a lot of problems but I thought we would be working through them plus they would blow over. Last Thursday night, things got extremely verbal by him. He was out of town and Sunday he came back so I stayed at my dad's house to think about things and cool off. The next morning he calls wanting an annulment. From what I know, we can't get an annulment? Also, while i was gone, he had the locks changed on the house and is refusing to take my calls and texts. We had agreed I would be a stay at home mom so I have no job and have stayed home with his kids who he had 50/50 custody of. I have no money and honestly, my heart is broken because I don't want an annulment or divorce. I feel he hasn't tried hard enough- obviously, I can't make him want to be with me. But how am I supposed to live without money and get him to respond??? He is sending his mom to talk to me instead.
I don't know how a husband can lock out his pregnant wife, not be financially responsible, and not talk to me at all.
Re: 4mo Pregnant and He Wants a Divorce
Actually, he can't.
However, until a judge tells him to stop, he will keep doing it.
Get yourself an attorney RIGHT NOW and file for rights to the marital residence and interim spousal support.
Re: 4mo Pregnant and He Wants a Divorce
I can't afford an attorney :'(
By him doing this it's adding insult to injury.

If I plan on moving out of state, it would make more sense to file with an attorney there correct?
He has a huge temper and I can't afford any more stress on my body as far as the house goes.

Only after you've legally established residency, which requires living, voting and paying taxes there for anywhere from six months to a year, depending on the state.

Are you planning on returning to the area you lived up until a few weeks ago? I suspect if you immediately returned to your former location, that you might be able to show you already have residency there.
