Re: Landlord Changes Lease
I cannot read your lease from here, and am thus not able to tell you if it requires that you provide your landlord with notice that you intend to move at the end of the lease term. What does it say about notice and automatic renewal or extension? Did you move out or are you still in residence?
Re: Landlord Changes Lease
We moved out as we told him we would. The original lease did say auto renewal but the othe only reason we didn't sign the extension is cause he changed it about selling the house 10 days prior to lease end. We had no plans to move. We couldn't have given him notice since we only knew 10 days prior to lease end. Thanks
Re: Landlord Changes Lease
So your lease automatically extends on a month-to-month basis after the lease term unless you give a month's notice? I understand that your landlord attempted to negotiate different terms, and that you didn't agree to those terms. That doesn't mean that your lease can be terminated without one or both of you giving proper notice - it means that either one of you can give proper notice and end the current lease consistent with its terms.
