Second Ticket in Two Years
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Washington, Pierce County
Hi:
I was unfortunately stopped by a WSP on motorcycle today heading to work on I5. I had just entered the freeway and was merging to the left. The speed limit here is 60mph. I had reached a speed of about 75mph before seeing the officer get on his bike and proceed to pull me over. He gave me a break and wrote it for 65+ in a 60 zone on the ticket.
I received a ticket in eastern Washington back in 2009 which I deferred. This ticket obviously did not fall in the one year deferral period so I assume my first ticket was tossed. That leaves this one now and I am not sure what I should do with the ticket. Contest? Pay? If I simply let it go and pay, what are the chances insurance will go up and what other repercussions will I face? Is it worth getting an attorney to keep a clean record?
Thanks for any advice.

Take a look through this thread. It will fill you in on your options and tell you how to proceed if you decide to contest.

For insurance ? , ask your agent ... they all have different criteria
