My question involves criminal law for the state of: Pennsylvania
I was recently at a concert where I was tailgating and drinking beforehand. Two police officers begin to walk towards our group so we got a little nervous and put all of our drinks down. I am 19 and all of the other kids are under 21 as well, so the cop said I'm going to give one person an underage and it was up to us to decide who. Long story short I took the fall. The officer wrote me a citation, section 6308 sub sec a. Purchase, Consumption, Possession.. etc. Stating " In possession of + observed consuming a malt brewed beverage." I gave him my SSN as well, ( I don't know if that's important or not).
The officers did not breathalyze me also. So I am wondering what are my chances of keeping my license and/or avoiding a fine, because I live in pittsburgh and I am going to college in Philadelphia in a month and I am dependent on my car for that reason.
