When Can You Sue for Adverse Possession
My question involves real estate located in the State of: Texas
I know someone who is leaving his house and moving out of state. He lost his job and has to relocate and is unable to sell the house. If he leaves can I move in and take possession of the house under the Adverse Possession Law?
Re: When Can You Sue for Adverse Possession
Sure... You just need to maintain occupancy for ten years during which you satisfy all elements of Texas adverse possession law, and hope the bank doesn't notice that nobody's paying the mortgage.
