Parent Abduction for Reparative Therapy (Curing the Gay)

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
What would a DA file as charges and against whom, if a father had his adult son abducted and held by a group while the group intervened to cure him of homosexuality? The group performs what they call reparative therapy.

um, kidnapping comes to mind quite quickly. Then, unlawful imprisonment or detention for not releasing him upon his demands.

and the charges would be filed against whomever perpetrated the crime.

The abductors and any conspirators could be charged for kidnapping, false imprisonment, and any other appropriate offense. There is little chance that the father and the group could argue that this was a necessary act to save the young man's life.

Dad and his associates would need legal representation immediately.
