Getting a License in Another State with a BAC Restriction on Reissued License
My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: North Carolina

    Hi,

Hopefully I'll be able to avoid making this too confusing. I got a DUI last Spring, and my 12-month license suspension is up and I have my driver's license back. In the "restrictions" section (on the back of the license), it says that I'm limited to a 0.04 BAC.

My question is will I have trouble getting a license in another state with this restriction? Please realize I'm not (or at least I think I'm not) driving on a limited/restricted license-this is my full, regular reissued license. A phone rep at my DMV said that she'd never heard of that being a problem, but I wanted to investigate a little bit further and post here.

    Thanks for any input,

    AR

I doubt that it will be a problem but keep in mind that there are fifty states, each with their own laws and regulations.

So which state are you specifically interested in? That state is the one you need to be inquiring to and aobut. It's no skin on the NC DMV whether you can get a license elsewhere or not. I think you will find it difficult to get a license most places with a restricted NC license.
