How to Evict a Non-Paying Person in My Home
My question involves an eviction in the state of: Texas
I allowed a friend to move in as a paying roommate when I was in a rental home. I am now buying a house (not the one I rented) she moved in with me as room mate. She has never signed a lease and now refuses to sign one. For the last 3 years she has not paid rent, she lost her job. I did not "throw" her out since she would have been homeless and on the street. She has filled the house and garage with her stuff (almost like a hoarder), I think she may be doing drugs, although not on the property and I have no "proof".
Do I have to go to the courts to get her to move or do I have to sell the house and move myself?
Thanks for any help

Give her 30 days WRITTEN notice that you are terminating her tenancy. If she isn't out in 30 days, you'll need to initiate formal eviction proceedings.
