Ex-Spouse Won't Cooperate With Car Title Paperwork
My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: California
Hello its currently 1:55 in the morning and I'm freaking out about my ex-wife and the fact that she won't sign the paperwork over to let me trade in a car that she gave me when we got divorced. My question is as follows: I signed an agreement with a car company an everything else to get the new car and I even drove it off the lot that day, with the comfermation that she said I could trade in the car but now she changedher mind and won't sign the paperwork because she thinks I got screwed big time, what's going to happen? Is the contract I signed null and void and I get the old car back or am I going to be stuck wth two car payments?
Re: Ex-Spouse Won't Cooperate With Car Title Paperwork
It sounds like you're going to have to take your ex- to court over the paperwork.
If you cannot complete your trade-in, you may have to cough up additional cash. I cannot see the sales contract from where I'm seated, so I don't know if problems with the trade-in would allow you to escape your purchase.
