My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan
I have received an MIP last Saturday and my court date is 3 days before i turn 21. Is this going to effect anything? It is my first problem with the law, I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. I blew at the police station at 6:30am and blew a .11, so I'm assuming I should plead guilty, but some people are telling me otherwise? Oh and I'm also not going to be getting a lawyer since I have to pay everything myself.
Basically I'm asking:
-Will they take my age into consideration to lesson the punishment? Considering it will be impossible to receive another one when I am already of age.
-What are the chances of getting everything expunged from my record?
-Is it typically best to plead guilty or not guilty- assuming you do did not hire a lawyer.
