Is There a Way for Me to Get Full Custody of My Baby
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: TX
My question is if there is a way for me to get full custody of my six week old baby. the father of my baby and i have been together for like 3 years and last August while we were living together I got pregnant but he had a baby with his ex girlfriend then. When I was 7 weeks pregnant he told me to get an abortion. That same week while he was mad he told me if I didn't get an abortion he would hit me in my stomach. The next day I left that apartment and went to live with my parents.
After that he was not there at all through my pregnancy. The week before my due date he came to me and asked me if he could move in with me because his parents kicked him out. He moved in with me the day before the baby was born. He was there for the first six weeks. Then one day he decided to get back together with his ex. So I told him to leave my house. He then moved in with his girlfriend. In her house she does not have working air conditioning. Also she lives with her three kids and a lot of other people.
However the father of my baby is joining the military and is leaving in September.
So my question is if there is a way of getting full coustody of my baby because his father wasnt there at all during my pregnancy and while he was with me for six weeks after he was born he never helped financially. He does not currently have a job, a car, or a set living situation. In the past year he has moved six times. He now lives with his current girlfriend, who does not like my baby. So I do not want my child going to her house because he could be in danger. He has not paid anything for our child at all. Is there a posibility of me getting full custody?

Do you have any orders, child support or custody/visitation? If there is no order for support, he is not legally obligated to pay anything.
Also, if there is no order for visitation you do not have to allow it. However if he petitions the court for vistation, he will likely get it. None of what you have posted will matter when it comes to visitation. You will likely get joint legal custody with visitation if it goes to court. No one here can tell you for sure though
